A Little Personal Information:
I began flying in 1997 through the Honeywell and
Yankee Flying Clubs, flying actively on my own until 2000 when I began
instructing full-time. Since then, I have provided nearly 4000 hours of flight instruction.
In June 2003, I received my initial
Master Certified Flight Instructor designation
(MCFI) from NAFI, the National Association of Flight Instructors and in August
2004, became an FAA Gold Seal Instructor. I am also an active CSI...Cirrus
Standardized Instructor and an FAA FAASTeam Representative for the Minneapolis
region.
Prior to full-time flight instruction, I spent more than 20 years as a manager
in a highly customer oriented business. This experience taught me the
importance of providing a quality product and consistent customer service.
Customers expect to receive good value for their money. In most cases,
however, it's not enough to just "satisfy" customers. Successful
businesses focus on delighting their customers and giving them more than they
expect. I work hard to not only provide my customers with the flight instruction
services they expect, but also to make their flight training a satisfying and
enjoyable experience. After all, flying is supposed to be fun, isn't
it?
In addition to flight instruction, I
am actively involved with both the Honeywell and Yankee flying clubs, provide
corporate pilot services for a local Minneapolis company in their JetPROP Malibu
and work part-time at Malibu Aerospace,
a small Minneapolis company specializing in aircraft modifications for the Piper
Malibu/Mirage. I am married, have two (nearly) grown children and live in
Maple Grove, a Northwestern suburb of Minneapolis. Here's a picture:
